This weekend in Colonial Beach, Virginia was good but challenging on the Pro Watercross Tour! I want to say thanks to Dean’s Team Yamaha for my fast FZR, Blacktip Jetsports for my Elite Series seat cover and traction mats, Exotic Signs for the coolest graphics on the water, for the fashions, RIVA Racing for the go fast parts, Kaotik Racing for the $, Jettribe for the best gear, Trisha King, LeAnn, Michael and Dylan Osborn, Dan Costello and Clay Barbee for all the support and help this weekend… I couldn’t do this without you all!

For our first moto in the Pro Am Stock Class on Saturday I was in 4th place off the line behind Troy Snyder and the Aswar brothers until I jumped the edge of a wake and high sided off my Yamaha FZR SVHO. As I was headed back to climb on my boat, another rider hit me almost head on and used my Yamaha’s hood as a ramp! I got back on and finished the moto with mostly cosmetic damage to end the day Saturday. There is almost nothing a lot of Gorilla Tape will not fix!

Sunday’s moto two was a challenge for me to get back in the groove with some aches and pains in my shoulder from Saturday’s tangle. In moto 3 on Sunday I finished feeling a little better in 5th behind Brian Baldwin keeping pace with the lead pack.

I’m looking forward to the final two rounds in Hartwell, GA and West Virginia to get some momentum going into World Finals. My Dean’s Team Yamaha FZR SVHO is running great and I am confident I will grab a podium before we all head to Havasu’s World Finals.

* As a side note, Trish and I ended our Virginia journey with an excursion via Ed’s towing to Orlando, FL. My Hummer “Buzz” ended the weekend on the hook (where’s Randy when you need him) with tranny problems. There is a lot more that goes into Privateer Racing than running motos on the weekend!

Just another jam tune testing out these new drum settings. I have to say, at long last, my Session drummer sets might be replaced for good. It’s been a long time coming, I would say; I’ve been using them for years, and they were great, but these sound really awesome!

I hope you like it! 🙂
